Mac OS X keeps preferences in Property List files or .plist files. For eCrisper, the file is com.eCrisper.plist located in ~/Library/Preferences. The ~ refers to your home folder therefore /Library/Preferences is a path starting from the home folder.
Mac OS X Lion (10.7) defaults to hiding the users Library folder mentioned above.
To access it, go in Finder, click on Go in the top menu (very top of the screen) then hold the Option key down. Library will magically appear as an option.
If you copy this file to another computer in the same location then the preferences will be picked up by eCrisper. Remember this file will include the password. Therefore overwriting a .plist file will automatically change eCrisper admin password.
To view a .plist file you need a Property List Editor. Click here to download a free one.
If you look at com.eCrisper.plist, you will only see preferences that differ from the default values. For example, if you have not changed AdminPassword then this entry will not be displayed in the .plist and the default value password will still be active.
This also means that if you delete an entry from the .plist file then the default value will be used next time you run eCrisper. Deleting the .plist file will reset all the preferences to default values.
